My close friends will tell you I’m a spiritual person. I spend a lot of time contemplating the universe, how its organized, why I am here. and how I can make the most of it. (If you are astro-curious at all, I have a lot going on in my 9th house. Alot.) I spend a lot of time with the big questions and what I’m supposed to do about them.
But ultimately it all translates back to the human experience. Where we were before now or after then is much less our concern. If you believe there is a before and after, then likely you believe this part, the earth part, isn’t accidental. We don’t need to know how to be on earth in order to sense it is a notable piece of context.
As much time as I spend exploring liminal spaces, when it comes down to it, I am a material girl.
We are, in fact, living in a material world. The material are physical things. And the things in our world are an extension of our divine purpose, known or unknown. Things are:
- objects
- food
- words
- colors
- sounds
- light, etc.
All of these things exist here on earth and they all shape and extend our human experience.
I play in the material. I study the material. And I study the material through a divine lens.
Creative Power
We have the creative power. Given to us by The Creator to shape our material world. To shape our environment. Doing so gives us immense power.
Our built and curated environment reflects our personality, our goals, our values, our culture. It impacts our health, our connections, our peace. And it is all done in the material.
