Many people start with a contractor. But let me let you in on a little secret… this is not the way. Contractors build things. In order to build things, things need to be designed.
Your home renovation starts with a designer. We can bring beauty and order to the design so that when we get to the contractor’s quote it is based in reality on your home and the exact result you desire. Without a design, they are quoting you on ideas not facts. As such, contractors end up making guesses and allowances which mean lots of change orders and cost increases if you design as you go with a contractor. Designers don’t only make your home beautiful they bring structure and a plan. Many reputable contractors won’t even begin your project without a designer on board.
